"We know what the candidate Santorum was like. A frothy mixture..."

I don't know. The N-word wouldn't have made sense there.

I agree, it doesn't fit ... but on the other hand ... what was he going to say that got him all flustered?
And what word would make sense?

I'm not sure that he got "all flustered" or just stumbled over some words. It happens to me too, and not for racist reasons.

You may be right, but it seemed more than just a word stumble to me. He did seem flustered.
Still ... it could be that I find him so loathsome that I can't be objective.

I think that may be a common -- and understandable! -- problem. :)

Yes! WHy yes, he did! I don't know why we're still talking about Santorum after this racist gaffe.

Because many Republicans are in "anyone but Mitt" mode.

It's totally beyond me how anyone could think so. It doesn't fit in the grammar of the sentence, it doesn't make any sense in the context, and this doesn't sound like a word almost slipping out, just a normal stumble. This is totally reaching.

It's hard to be sure. But this isn't the first time something like this has happened with him.

Maybe "government neglector" (mis-pronouned)
